Only about half mine was dry enough to bring in. Then for funsies I decided to look at the creek next to our house and see why, during the last heavy rains, it had diverted to flow across our back yard. It looked like a fricken beaver lodge had been built across it. There were sticks and branches of all sizes, rocks, dirt, leaves, rubbish, and quite a lot of blackthorn. My hands have a dozen-or-so slice marks and gouges across them because I just plowed right into it without troubling to go back up to the house for a pair of gloves. That'll teach me.... :ouch:

Auntie Dragon gets to babysit one of the nephews tomorrow (Master Ten Months. Utterly adorable). So I should probably give up on catching up with the latest post, seeing my connection is very laggy, and head for bed.

Not feeling quite so pissed off at the world. A nice seafood dinner and a chance to catch up with old friends, ça fait du bien. ^_^
