I would kill the likes of you in less than a heartbeat if you ever threatened my kids. Obviously you have no idea of what I would or would not do.

I'd never do such a thing. But your beloved Muslims would and have done it.

I know you wouldn't, Lit.

What you don't get is that there are nutjobs in every camp. Muslims, Christians, ...

Some camps have a lot more nutjobs than others. Though a bit like relativity, where you are standing counts.

My dream as a child was to be an astronomer and/or physicist. Half-way through high school I discovered that I was better at languages, history, philosopy etc, so I started to study German, philosophy and history of ideas at the university in Gothenburg.

I did well at first but then the study environment became unbearable. I thought about a career as at least a translator or maybe even a university professor in German or philosophy.

On the uni front I heard something about Masters being free in Sweden or something like that. Are you familiar with the rules and stuff around them?

Translator might be good for you.  I know one that does french at home at her own pace with little interaction with people

It doesn't cost anything to take a degree, no, not even a PhD Degree.

I know. My mum often says that. zer0, another guy from Sweden, who used to post here before, works as a translator sometimes, though he gets a lousy payment, he tells me.

Do they fund your living costs while you are at it? How competative are they?

You got six years study loans. A part of it is free, but you can barely survive on the free part. The advanced educations are pretty competitive, I think.

Depends. I have a relative in California, but I haven't met him for 20 years or so. Mum and dad met him a couple of hours last year when he was in Sweden on a short visit.
