As many of you may have heard, Dave is resigning and recontesting his seat over the 42 day thing. Kelvin, the former editor of the Sun is running against him.

It sickens me that this country has thrown out habeas corpus and resorted to arbitrary detentions.  I fully expect that it's use won't be limited to terrorists either; we've already seen other anti-terror legislation in this country being turned against peaceful demonstrators and other groups that haven't the slightest connection with terrorism. Welcome to the police state.

Have you seen the number of safeguards in that bill? There is very little chance of these particular powers being abused. If the Tories were in office we would have got 90 days, I am pretty sure, this just smacks of political opportunism gone wrong. I might actually go and campaign for Kelvin, if I get bored.
