I feel cool, dry and comfortable now that my room is air-conditioned.  8)

Now you're going to be the coolest chick in town.  It sort of amazes me that there are people who don't always need A/C in the summer.  If you have seasonal allergies they should be a lot less intense.

My brother has allergies (I don't anymore), yet he doesn't bother with A/C much.  I dunno how he manages!   :dunno:

I feel a bit sick just from eating half a caramel slice. Have to take my meds too.

OOH, lovely.  Will you send the rest to cbc and me?

Shortbread base, a caramel layer and a dark chocolate topping-the classic Caramel Slice.

Do we like it because we're so short or because it's made from healthy and filling shortening?

I think because we are short!  "Tallbread"  just doesn't sound as delicious!

One of the things I love about I2 is that it challenges me to check facts and information before I post.  I was wondering what the difference between shortbread and scones is.  The most uniform difference is that scones are made from butter and biscuits and shortbread are made from shortening.

Now that I've answered that burning question for you all, you can go to bed with a soothed brow and dream of sugarplums or sex, whichever you prefer.

Feeling how packed yesterday was.

I kept it together yesterday. But exhausted now. Luckily there is only a mail and a parenting obligation today. I will not make it to be at the BD party of my SIL.

More and more angry with that stupid therapist.

I had called yesterday how things were with the referral. She was supposed to call me back, and I clearly said not to call back after 4pm, because I would be in a meeting.

So, she did call, when that meeting had started. I think she knew I would not have the time/opportunity to get really angry with her there and then. And then that silly excuse of having had to deal with crisis situations all the time. Not even at a closed ward do people have to deal with a flooding of crisis-situations that much that they can't get their secretaries to do simple paperwork. Where she works, and what she does, she hardly will have crisis-situations to deal with. Think she needs to get her head examined.

She is very close to getting a formal complaint on her plate. That referral better be dealt with really soon now.

:indeed:   She sounds totally disorganized and perhaps in need of an ADHD evaluation!

I don't have A/C.  It's not really a thing that people tend to have here in Scotland.

How hot does it get there in the summer?  Where I live, hot humid weather starts in May and can go through September.  :zombiefuck:

26C is the hottest that it gets, and that's usually just for a few weeks.  I don't cope well with high temperatures, and 26C is very uncomfortable for me, but it's pretty mild compared to a lot of places.

Really shitty, after major hip joint surgery.
