i probably know more people (well, ones i actually would want to spend any time with) in bath than where i live.  there's thriving and shit hot "alternative"/counter culture/muso "scene" there, of which i am a part, if i can ever be arsed dragging myself over there.  (unfortunately, this involves going Beyond The Front Door, shudder).  and one of my best friends (another adopted brother - muso, natch) organises the fringe festival, which is handy.
