Some kind of weird Curry blend my mother made. It was actually quite good. Also had pasta with Turkey and marinara sauce.

Not a cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves or allspice fan.  Soaking raisins in some whisky, rum, etc. until they rehydrate sure makes them tasty.

I've just had a thought of rice soaked and simmered in mulled wine.

I wonder what raisins soaked in mulled wine would be like. Or prosecco. Yum. I quite like those warming spices you mention.

Not sure if I mentioned this before, but I used to like to get Tao Kai Noi seaweed crisps in wasabi flavour (WAY better than Itsu's version) and top them with chocolate hazelnut spread. Really good.

I have some seaweed snack sheets but I haven't tried them yet.

Are they flavoured?

Yeh, they look as bad in texture as the Itsu ones. Then, the ones you mentioned have a tiny amount of calories too. The Tao Kai Noi ones are double layered and fried, and well, calorific like crisps. That's why they taste so good, probably. That and MSG.

Then, the Itsu ones don't come in onion flavour. I wonder what they'd be like.

Sour jellybeans? ever had the 'jelly belly' brand of jellybeans? they come in MASSES of different flavours, and can be bought either by the flavour, or as a mix. Nicest brand of jellybeans I've ever had. Those are expensive but what to go for if you want upmarket, quality jellybeans.

I LOVE the banana ones. And the liquorice ones. The banana ones though with yellow color and little brown speckles, those are so damn good its hard not to eat the entire lot at once. Not sure how many different kinds there are, but more than enough to keep a sweet-toothed snacker occupied for as long as there are any left. You can mix them too to get further flavours which is kinda neat, and unlike the cheapo beans that are just sweet and flavoured with a bit of citric acid etc. and are all the same no matter the colour, these are a lot smaller, and packed with flavours. Delish, although pretty damn expensive. There are even spicy hot ones. I don't like the cinnamon ones though, but thats because I don't like cinnamon anything.

I just hope, that when I come to do my experimental synthesis of AP-237, which will involve the use of cinnamyl chloride it doesn't smell anything like cinnamon, or its hydrolysis product, cinnamic acid, I hope that doesn't either because concentrated essence of cinnamon flooding the lab would be less appealing than even the butyric anhydride, which on hydrolysis, will leave behind some butyric acid, the substance responsible for giving vomit its awful putrid sour rotting stink.

Nothing yet.  I still have an egg salad sandwich at work that I never got to eat
because I worked through my lunch break.  I might have that when I get to work today.  :orly:

What a great idea. I forgot to lunch. Making an egg-sandwich sounds like a good plan. I could do the dishes while the egg is boiling.

^ Ever tried those konjac type pastas?

As much as I appear a nutcase as regards to dieting, I would never touch those. They look disgusting, like frankenfood to me. And, I know they're not *that* bad and I'm overreacting, and they're only made out of some thickener. But, yeh.

Ham and cheese on rye sandwich

Maybe chocolate iced custard filled doughnuts for dinner (Krispy Kreme)

Yesterday lots of cake during the day. For dinner made two quiches. One with leek, the other with broccoli. They were nice. Both with garlic, fresh rosemary and cashew nuts. Had some happy eaters at the table. One of them was me.
 :hyke:

Now should be thinking breakfast.

After being told there was some cheap muesli donated by my uncle, who couldn't eat it, ate the lot, and thought 'this must be dirt cheap'

Turns out I'd just eaten an entire box of porridge oats, in milk. Otherwise un-prepared.
Still, filled a hole.
