Yesterday: my dad actually did something nice for me; he and Mum were visiting for the day and he offered me a lift to work.

Something else good happened but I forget what it was; it made me happy at the time though.

Today: My dog visited and she liked the new toy that I bought her.

Oh, I just remembered the other good thing from yesterday: my boss was getting rid of some old piano books so he gave them to me. Most will just provide useful material for my students, but one looks good for me.
