My wife was called in early to work some overtime (which is really good pay -  and that's the good part) and since she was gone when the kids got home I had her call on her break to talk to them.
Another good thing - I was happpy/braggy about paying two bucks for gasoline, but she just paid $1.84/gallon!

Now for the fucked up part. What happened that caused them to call her in early was that a semi had overturned and much of the shipment had broken cartons, loose tape, etc. Since it was destined for her route, she helped to "re-box"  and restore all the broken cartons. It amounted to almost five cubic yards of new CDs, DVDs (some of them Blu-Ray, FFS) and small personal players with headsets all addressed to the state penitentiary.

Now wait a fucking minute! I can see a few new movies on occasion for the prisoners, but hundreds (!?!) and the new releases (!?!) and the latest technology (!?!) and CDs (!?!) and personal players (!?!). A five fucking cubic yard truckful (!?!), WTF!

and i got two (count 'em, TWO!) parcels today (in different deliveries): my new mouse, and a finnish mitten knitting kit (try saying that pissed) - eco wool, and dyed using flowers and herbs and mushrooms and stuff.  i'm already knitting them, i'm so excited.
