Yes, I'm married to Dunc- I have 3 kids- aged 3, 8 and 10.

I took the kids to see my parents in France yes.  Dunc didn't go because we couldn't afford the extra costs of him going this year-new passport, extra flight, putting the dog in kennels, car parking at the airport for almost 3 weeks and a hire car at the other end since we wouldn't all fit in my parent's car if he came too. He also likes having some time alone and isn't generally that bothered about going away.
