I think they just feel how much I love them. They have been treated kindly all their lives by their human families,
 so they are very trusting, and I've been their nanny for many years too. :)

I once toddled up to the bank, and as I was walking up the steps I got a whiff of vomit....only to realise there was an Ibis there eating a huge puke off the pavers in the Mall. I seriously nearly threw up myself....and I'm not a vomiter.
