Was in New Haven today and looked out in the harbor as I exited to a strange sight of clashing times.   The Schooner Amistad which they made a movie about though not using this one with a sail up in the harbor  with a modern tug and tank farm behind   http://www.amistadamerica.org/

That little boat is it, geez I have heard about it for years and assumed it was a ship, not a row boat with a sail.

People and the media are bored to death when they go on and on about nothing much from a long time ago.

I'm not a star trek junkie, but ever notice they don't dwell on the past like people do today ?

Unfortunately you can't see the shirt I'm wearing. It's a photo of Geronimo with several of his lieutenants. The caption over the photo reads: HOMELAND SECURITY: FIGHTING TERRORISM SINCE 1492.

Maybe that's why Harlan was being so nice. That, and I think he got a little sweet on my wifeperson.

Harlan Ellison is a person who is someone I'd consider a soul brother, practical, common sensical and curmudgeonly.  He made the best quote in the show, "The conspiracy zone" when they were debating about "alien infiltrations" and such.  He stated and I paraphrase,  "Aliens come from unimaginable distances with incredible technology, and they take humans and "STICK PROBES UP OUR ASSES."   He got the biggest standing ovation from the audience that I have ever seen on that show.

CRUSTY CURMUDGEON ICONOCLASTS RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULE!    Damn good writer btw!

Awesome T-shirt!

Geronimo is one of MY personal heroes, BTW.
Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.
