If you are poor enough, you can get Medicaid to pay for your medical bills, but if you are just a little too well-off financially to qualify for Medicaid, you are out of luck.

Also, some states have programs to help children of parents who are just a little too well-off for Medicaid get medical care, but those are often underfunded and they just help children and pregnant women, not other adults.

we just have to pay for prescriptions here. except with things like AS and autism, going to the psych cost a couple hundred quid because i was 18. i guess i don't die of my ass burgers though  :orly:

Do you have to pay the whole cost of your prescriptions, or just a copayment?  With our insurance, just our copayments for our daughter's prescriptions are over $100 per month.  If we didn't have insurance, they would cost around $900 per month all together.

when i took speed it was like i dunno 30 euro for a month's dose? or was it? i dunno. i can't rememeber. valium costs like 5 euro or something.

I found this:  "From April 2007, the charge for a single prescription item is £6.85," so that must be a copayment rather than the whole cost of the prescription.

Maybe you were paying the whole cost of the speed?

there was more of the speed. i had to have like 28 pills times 6 or something. the valium is at most 30 pills in a box. where as the speed i have to take in huge quantities cuz it's like 6 pills a day.

i can't remember the precise price though. cuz i are stupid.
