One of my son's interest is Middle Egyptian too.

Your English is better than most native speakers.  How long have you spoken English and why did you learn it?

Long story, BeeBee, but basically I had to learn it on my own in the late 70s because I always missed out English in class. First, I was born in Finland and chose Swedish instead of English, as an extra language (Swedish was far more useful in Finland, at the time, and I was born a native Finnish speaker).

Then, after moving to Sweden when I was 11, I discovered that everyone had to learn English and had been busy doing it for a couple of years by the time I came along. Me, I was busy learning Swedish and missed out even more English because of that. So, eventually I thought that I'd do it on my own instead, more or less.

I helped that my dad was an interpreter and I apparently got most of his language genes, but what really did it was reading Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. :D

I guess learning languages is pretty easy for me if I'm interested. Which is why I've always failed miserably trying to learn German...

BWAHHAHHHAAA!!! (evil laugh)

You have to remember that this is a fantasy. If something as unlikely as the shipwrecked-on-an-island scenario can happen, well, then I can bloody well sneak up on you and finish you off. The question wasn't how; the question was who'd go first.

* You. *

should we eat Jizz's ass.  afterall he volunteered it.
Misunderstood.

we just recieved the funding to produce the first annual I? Calender, and you have been selected to model for and represent one month.

Which month would you choose, and why?
and would you pose scantily clad, or bare chested?
Misunderstood.

Sure. Consider it free food.

January. It would spoil the rest of the year for anyone who bought the thing.
Seen in that light, answer #2 is easy: bare-chested.  ;D

Well, I have the original RPG box, with the deck plans and all. I have the tactical combat simulator box, that I believe was originally out shortly after The Wrath of Khan (I think they integrated it into the RPG in later versions), a couple of the sourcebooks--I'm looking at the book for The Voyage Home when I write this--and a few of the adventures. Don't know how many, though. I've stashed them away somewhere.

Funny thing, I never actually used them a lot for actual role-playing--the PG friends I had were mostly into GURPS--but I certainly read them a lot. :)

What is it about the particular way you live your life that makes you most proud?
And as always, these are simply my worthless opinions.
Reverence is fine, Sanctity is silly.
We're all fucked, it helps to remember that.

That's a tough question. But also a very good one. I'm proud in that I think I'm providing a reasonably stable environment for my kids to grow in, meaning that the way we live our life is very much unlike what I was subjected to when I was their age. I think I provide continuity, and with that, security, and I desperately want to keep it that way.

I think I'm also more true to myself these days. I don't bother as much with appearances as I used to.

On the other hand, just thinking about your questions makes me doubt myself.  :-\

1. Any 70 mm print, shot in 65 mm and with its colours intact. The screen is about 3 meters wide, the distance between it and the projector is about 5 meters, and the image, therefore, is the sharpest I've ever seen, anywhere.

But any print with CinemaScope and lots of Dolby Stereo sound will do, if necessary. It's OK to screen a "dialog-oriented" film but screening is more fun if there's sound and images that I can do justice to...

2. I suppose "Titanic". It would have been perfect if that stupid love story had been toned down a bit.

3. Lots of stuff pertaining to old movie theatres, obviously, from projectors to old tickets to movie trailers to blueprints to... I'm sure you get the idea. Books. CDs. Original LPs, EPs, singles by the Beatles or by any of the fab four on their own. Anything having to do with my current interests (so I have some pretty interesting stuff).

Do you believe that some form of morality (not the ability to accept morality, but actual moral tendencies) can be, or is, present in humans regardless of what they have been taught and exposed to?  In simplistic terms, are some morals hard-wired in some or all humans?  Elaborate on this your answer as much as you like.
