Probably not what we would regard as morality, but something closer to herd instinct, i.e. protect the offspring, defend the tribe, etc. As societies have evolved this has been codified, ritualised, and applied in bizarre and unfathomable ways.

What's the weirdest inanimate object you've ever spoken to?
George:I'd say I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not. I excel at not giving a shit. Experience has taught me that interest begets expectation, and expectation beget disappointment, so the key to avoiding disappointment is to avoid interest. A equals B equals C Equals A, or whatever. I also don't have a lot of interest in being a good person or a bad person. From what I can tell, either way, you're screwed. Bad people are punished by society's laws, and good people are punished by Murphy's Law

sounds about right. I think its about 3500 miles to Newfoundland from here as the closest point to the UK, which is a fair way further north and east than NY.

Yes. Not quite sure how to go about it though, and I still have a lot to learn. Whatever combination of 'guvvy jobs' I end up with, self employment appears to be the only viable option for me.  :-\

Not sure, really. I seem to share common traits with a lot of other autistics - rigidity under stress, moderate mindblindness, preference for single tasking when I am actually able to focus, inertia, discomfort with eye contact, obsessive behaviour, stimming, fucked up sleeping patterns, and a host of sensory issues.

I was originally considered to be 'hyperactive' as a kid, there being no AS diagnosis in the 80s, and the AD[H]D tag still seems to fit alongside AS, like my son - I usually have difficulty in gaining focus, I'm impulsive, easily distracted, start projects then abandon them, incredibly forgetful, and prone to temper tantrums. Some of these characteristics I have noticed don't seem to be an issue for some autistics, and thats where I seem to differ from some. Also I'm not shy, just fucking clueless.

Some sort of sedative at night if I was driving my parents batshit - they never told me that was what it was for, lol. I recognised the name when we got some prescribed for Adam's sleep problems. I was put on a restricted diet and kept away from MSG and too much refined sugar - it seemed to work ok.  :-\
