^ My first reaction was...did you actually buy something new??!!! You're the queen of refurbishing! Your stove looks similar to mine. Love the vanity. That's what I want for the powder room on the main floor.

Trust me I spent months debating. I hate spending money.

The vanity is actually a laundry tub. I really miss not having one, since it will be out in the open I decided to go with something less fugly than the standard utility tub.

I have a small vanity downstairs that I'm bringing upstairs to replace the oversized monster we keep killing ourselves on. It was always too big for the bathroom, and it didn't help when the top cracked and my dad found a bigger one on sale ages ago and built it out even more so the new top would fit. :P

Stove here is 30+ years old and looks it, I had a newer glass top stove at the old house but couldn't bring it. It took a year to heat up though so now I'm not sorry I had to leave it, went with coils and a self-cleaning oven for the new one.  ;)

I have to say, I hate my glasstop. I find it much harder to keep clean. Next time I replace, I'm going back to coils.

I really like mine.  Do you use that cleaner made for glasstop stoves?

I do, but 4 hours after it was delivered the ex used it as a cutting board so there's permanent cuts in it that are impossible to really get clean. He never cared to take proper care of it and there's damage to it that I can't seem to fix so it just bothers me overall for more reasons than it being a glasstop I guess.

Mine was never used as a cutting board, so that may be why I still like it.

Appearance-wise I love them, it just seems like they take a year to heat up. On mine I could
put something on to boil, go downstairs put a load of clothes in dryer, put another in the washer, come upstairs and fold them and still be waiting. Wouldn't dare do that with the 30 year old coil top here. In fact the first month I came close to burning alot of things.

Maybe I just had a dud, but my FIL bitches about the same thing, my MIL loves it though, but then she'll spend all day in the kitchen because she loves to cook, bake bread, etc. With me, the faster I'm out of the kitchen the happier I am.

A book on teaching yourself a foreign language
3 candles
A fold-up clothes dryer, my third.  Kind of needed a third one for the winter since clothes dryer slower.
