I have a bunch of DVDs but don't watch any lately because I can't find the DVD player remote.

There are universal, programmable alternative remotes available for less than ten bucks.

... and really nice ones in the thirty dollar range.

I know but I'll just wait until I find mine, wherever it is buried.

Buy one bring it home and your sure to find the original one within an hour
I can't argue with that logic. Maybe I should try that.

Fool proof method indeed.

The other one is systematically and thoroughly go through your house to clean and de-clutter. (That's what I tell my kids to do when something is lost)

I am the King of Clutter so I am firmly against that method :zoinks:

If you're Catholic, you could pray to St. Anthony, patron saint of lost items!

He was my grandma's favorite

Did he find a lot of things for her?  :)

She thought so but usually it was me finding it because she needed new glasses

At a garage sale, I found some olden Pioneer speakers and a matching receiver. These date from the late seventies. The receiver is supposed to be three hundred fifty watts per channel and the speakers are a three way twelve inch woofer variety.

To my surprise and great pleasure, the speakers are still good, have a very mellow (Pioneer, musical, but not accurate, sound) and the receiver actually works like new.  I plan to try the speakers in my garage, but the receiver is going to my bedroom for now.

I bought them, speakers and amp, for fifty bucks.

An old second hand briar pipe to replace my previous pipe which I burnt out by smoking it too hard.

Milk & Motor Oil.

Remember to put them in the right place and for heavens sake, don't mix the two!

:plus: I knew something sounded funny about that combination, but I couldn't quite figure out how to respond.

Demons Souls for my PS3.

Fuck me, this game is hard. It's...not bullshit hard, it's not unfairly hard, it's just...really punishing.

We bought two sets of semi-fancy mattresses for the two kids' beds.  They are both very happy about this!
