I have a bunch of DVDs but don't watch any lately because I can't find the DVD player remote.

There are universal, programmable alternative remotes available for less than ten bucks.

... and really nice ones in the thirty dollar range.

Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

I know but I'll just wait until I find mine, wherever it is buried.

I can't argue with that logic. Maybe I should try that.

Fool proof method indeed.

The other one is systematically and thoroughly go through your house to clean and de-clutter. (That's what I tell my kids to do when something is lost)

I try to differentiate between clutter and clutter.

Still a lot here that should go, because they are more my ex's than mine, and of no use or pleasure to me. And de-cluttering will make me find my valued things again.

 Thanks Parts, Hykeaswell's well intended insensitive remark re my clutter sent a chill down my spine and almost made me feel invalidated.
