The washer is still functional, mostly. It washes, but it's really far out of alignment so it shakes the whole house when it spins. The dryer is kaput. So I'm just draping wet laundry all over the house. I have a rack for it where I can put most of it, but the cub still has nighttime accidents so there's a lot of trying to get bedsheets to dry by the next day.

I decided to get both washer and dryer at the same time because it was a deal and I don't expect the current washer to last much longer.

Today I got a hamster. The cub got it into his head that he wanted one and he's been asking for a while. I feel bad that I can't get him a cat or dog become of my allergies, and he loves animals.

We'll see how much of the caretaking I can talk him into actually doing.
