I took my own advice and bought a pumpkin today. Specifically, I bought a bag of five assorted tiny pumpkins. They're lined up on the kitchen windowsill. They're so cute and festive and pumpkiney and I love them.

Bought a leather jacket to replace my aging one. Had it for years but it was falling apart. You get from the "Indiana Jones had something like this" to "the security is going through my things because of my jacket". In fairness it had holes. I miss it, though.
Was it difficult to find one to replace your old one?

I bought cat food.

FedEx came with the Chewy box earlier today than expected, so he missed out on me handing him an ice cold Coke.

Going to have to switch up and put some snacks out in a basket...I've found out that they're 75% less likely to slam my cat food down on the concrete porch if I offer treats. Zero busted cans in the last year and a half. :asthing:

Incredibly. Anxiety-inducing.

Vermiculite, pearlite, bloodmeal, bonemeal, superphosphate, silica gel, sphagnum moss, course sand ...

My daughter has been buying tropical plants all summer and I am going to help her blend her own custom potting mixes for the various genera she wants to keep over winter.
Many succulents, but some bromeliads and typical house plants, too. She is learning so much, so fast.

I have not really talked about this, but my daughter has populated the house placing oxygen generating plants into damn near every nook.

Stopped at a moving sale, because an old receiver caught my eye.

I ended up not buying it, since it was made early in this century. Had it been '80s era I would have grabbed it up.

I did come away with a really great shape and I think complete hand crank food grinder. It was in the original box, which was trashed and worn to a nub, but inside all the various cutters were there. It even had the out tray and an additional expanded hopper attachment, which are usually gone.
A bit rusty having been put away wet a few times, but very cool and a new restoration project.

Also found a pretty nice, large old German pocket knife plus a tactical style high quality Chinese military knock off blade with sheath and tie down strap. A few CDs, too.
Did my best to help the couple move some stuff.
Almost bought her Dutch Oven, but it was aluminum. I don't like aluminum much for big pots.

The cherry pick was that hand grinder, though!
