It is a little rough and is missing the spring but it will look a lot better after a little work.  Paid 35 should go for over 100 when done

Shrimp. Local butcher had a fresh(frozen - it's Indiana) batch of the big ones for sale.

I went in for a decent roast for the week end. I figure, if I'm preparing myself to spend 15 to 18 bucks a pound for Meijer butchered beef, I might as well have a look at our local independant butcher. His was the same price, but way better marbling AND aged.

I was not expecting to see shrimp, so Shrimp tacos tomorrow. Roast on Sunday.

I bought another watermelon. The last one was a dud. It's possible it was overripe but I'm not really sure because that's a problem I've never had before. If they're not good it's always because they were picked too soon. It looked awesome when I cut it open but if I had to guess from the texture, I'd say it might have accidentally been frozen. Whatever was wrong with it, I hope I have better luck this time.

Although my smaller crossover was filled just under $100.
It's not a work truck, though. I drive a Chevy Traverse. It's just my Daddy Taxi car.

Two fire logs.
I know that doesn't sound like much fire wood, but these are large logs made with holes bored in order to create a kind of furnace inside. So they can be placed on any flat, fire safe surface and they will burn from the inside - out.

These will be great on our back porch for family time, without the involved fire pit thing.

Still going to have a fire pit at some point, but these things are very cool!

I was just thinking about fire stuff yesterday.  There's a couple family birthdays coming up and I was looking for gift ideas. I ran across some treated pine cones that are supposed to change the color of flames. We don't use our fireplace, but there's a household in the family that occasionally does use theirs, plus they also camp a couple times per year, so I bookmarked them as a possible Christmas gift idea for them.
