A butterfly calendar for my mum's birthday. She said she'd like something for the kitchen. I'm still thinking on that.

She didn't give any clue to what type of something for the kitchen?  :dunno: If I were to give a suggestion it would be fabrics, kitchen hand towels and pot holders. Those are things that need to be replaced fairly often in a kitchen, plus places like the dollar tree have nice selections for a great price.

I'd like to get her some nice microfiber tea towels. They're way better than the cotton sort at drying glass and everything else. I had a look in Spotlight but their towels are too thick. Aldi had what I wanted but I took those for myself (this was months ago). The thing with Aldi is that they circulate their products so something that is there one week, will never be seen again.

I might have a look in Red Dot which is similar to your Dollar Tree.

I once got some excellent quality tablecloths at Aldi, they were $10 per set for the tablecloth and six matching napkins. I got two sets of the same color in two different sizes, so I could use them with a small or big table setting and then have 12 napkins for the big table setting. It would have cost more than $20 just for the napkins at any other store. I wish I had gotten more because I've never seen another deal like that since then.  :dunno:

That's a pretty great bargain. I've seen regular cotton tea towel packs at Aldi which were nice but not what I wanted. As it happens I am giving Kayleigh a lift to her doctor today. I usually take the chance to get petrol but this time I'll have a look in Red Dot as well as it's nearby.

Bought a 40-yo HP41C calculator that doesn't turn on. Thinking it's salvageable. I'll be very pleased if I'm right.

Likely should be easily fixable, lot of older calculators had easily replaceable through-hole components.

Bought myself an extra battery for my camera.

I always had a soft spot for HP calculators and I've been wanting one of these for years. I'm not prepared to pay what they ask for the good ones on ebay so I'm hoping this one is fixable.

I did end up going to Red Dot and buying some microfiber tea towels there. They're brown but a nice shade of brown. I also bought a whole bunch of colourful hair ties for $4. Kayleigh said we don't need them which is true, but I like having colour options.

I also bought petrol which cost $70. It's rumoured that soon petrol will cost around $2 per litre. I hope not.

Red Dot? That sounds like the kind of store a cat would like.

About to buy a new mobile. The old one is giving up and it's time.

Do you hang it over your crib?

^ :D

I bought my mum and my sister's husband birthday cards, my autistic client an orange shirt (he likes orange) to go with his Christmas card and some underwear for myself.
