Being landlocked in Indiana, we have to pay Top Dollar for fish. I love exploiting Lent. The So-Calleds always decrease red meat before Easter and fish becomes more plentiful than normal for a short time.

I dropped a stack of bucks at our local monger Monday after Easter and froze most everything.

Bought a new router but returned it a day later after realising that it didn't fix the problems I hoped it would fix.

It's been one of those weekends.  :grrr:

Looking to upgrade. My router is three (four, maybe?) years old. I have a (awesome when I bought it) AC1900 from Netgear.
:hide:

What did you choose?

I went for a Linksys MR9600. Not the best but decent enough. The advantage is that it supports my Linksys mesh stuff out of the box. I'd probably have picked an ASUS instead if not for my existing gear.

The WiFi mesh that thing produced was awesome. It's a shame it had to go back. I'm back with my 4-yo Linksys 1900ACS since the new Linksys didn't solve my increasingly weird networking issue.

I have trouble resisting the All One Company set ups. I have gravitated toward Netgear equipment, accidentally.
I have more research to do before I buy.
The 9600 ballpark is where I want to play.

I did a Device Search and I know my WiFi is detecting my neighbor's devices, but the number of dozen things that are constantly trying to connect to my PRIVATE network amazes me.

Security is a main concern in my next decision. Going with All One Company used to help with that, but I'm not sure anymore. I want to increase network security.

The 9600 is a good router. I suspect the real win is in WiFi6, though. And the mesh, which is awesome.

Solved my weird network problem, btw. It wasn't me at all, but it was properly weird. Using a system on the other side of a VPN worked just fine when going through WiFi locally, but couldn't save remotely through a wired connection. Turns out the company DNS provides better mapping in the former case.

They really were some great bargains.  The flounder was 3 pounds for $10. the shrimp were marked down from $20 to $6 per pound, the surimi was marked down by $4 a pound.  The ham was BOGO, so it was a bit pricey, but worth the convenience.  Everything came to a bit over $55 with tax and I saved $62.  I'll go back today and buy some more shrimp since I have a bonus coupon for 5 times the loyalty points.  I need some frozen meals.  Thank heavens for living in New Orleans.

Welcome back!

A new laptop, finally. It's arriving next week.

:lol1: That's the weirdest combination of words I've read in a while. If you were to post a photo of your stuffed hand made Gandhi doll, I'd definitely look at it.  :zoinks:
