Magic Erasers and sanding pads for plaster

I tried a Magic Eraser once and it didn't do anything.  Did I use it wrong?  :dunce:

I love them and use them around the house as well as on stuff I am going to sell.  They will work okay with just water but I use them mostly with Krud Kutter and have even used them with brake cleaner to remove graffiti

I love them.
They take off all those scuff marks on toys, shoes, the sides of vacuums, housings on trimmers, etc, you just can't rub too hard or they will dull the sheen on plastic.

I use them for cleaning up my resale stuff all the time.

Before I get paid next, I will be buying medication - benztropine and haloperidol.

Maybe I'll buy some more and see if I can find the magic this time.   :witch1:

What did you try to do with them? First time ever using one was on the laundry room wall and the door leading from the laundry room to the garage. They were riddled with scuff marks and no amount of cleaning was helping. One has to be careful using magic eraser on painted surface as they can be more abrasive than wanted and remove the paint. Have only used it on white wall paint so not sure how damaging they can be to color wall paint, but it made the wall and door look amazing so went around the whole house using it on all the doors and doorjambs where people touch the most. The most impressive use of magic eraser was at work. When the cubes were re-configured in my department to accommodate more people, I ended up with a cube constructed of components which had been in storage for a while. The white laminate surface for the desktop was horribly scuffed and even scrubbing it with comet had no result. One magic eraser later and it looks like a new surface. Offered the extra eraser in the package to the team member who got the other cruddy desktop and she was equally impressed.

I ran water over mine, as I thought I was supposed to do.  Is that how you use them?  :tard:

Yes, they're supposed to be used slightly damp.

I'll try again.  I must have done something wrong.  :dunno:

What were you cleaning?

I don't remember, possibly a painted wall with scuff marks.  :dunno:
