Federal election day today.

I remember the last state election happened when I was in hospital, I didn't vote in it. When I came out of hospital, I saw a picture of Alan Carpenter, our state Premier and said, "Who's that guy?" :D

Labor has won the overall election, but there's this little nugget which I find endlessly amusing:

Looks like John Howard will be the first Prime Minister since 1929 to loose his electoral seat.

The former ABC television journalist, Maxine McKew, is ahead of Mr Howard 51.1 per cent to 48.9 per cent after preferences, a swing of 5.2 per cent with 69.8 per cent of the vote counted.

If Mr Howard loses his seat he will be the first sitting Prime Minister to do so since 1929.

That implies he has a fully functioning brain; rare in politics but you never know.

A politician with a fully functioning brain? You're kidding.

haven't decided yet. depends what he does next I suppose; he may prove not to be quite as big a bumgrape as his predecessor. at least the compulsory biometric ID cards bollocks has been shelved.

My birthday was on Election Day. It was the Christmas Party the night before. Voting sucks arse. Paul Keating is my pick of PM's.

I think we all knew where we stood with him and why.
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.
