But "a lot of the guests have flipped" makes grammatical sense. If you don't use quotation marks, how the hell can the reader know what you mean?

I dont think anyone would change the title of your thread to fix semantics. The only people that wold be able to change your thread would be admins and I dont think they would do that for silly reasons
