Would someone explain to me what would be wrong with finding out where your "friends" are today and dropping them a line?

I really don't see the problem. Some people use the telephone to find their friends and try to get together for some fun. What's the big deal?

it was just a thread i started because PI had mentioned that she was addicted to the who's online feature.
it was meant to just strike up a conversation with a friend, actually.

in answer to your question: there is nothing wrong with that.

I've caught my friend on here and I IM him asking I thought he left this place and he said he was just looking at my B&J posts. At first he thought I had some super powers and I told him no his name shows when  he is on because this site shows a list of users who are on and what they are soing in the past 15 minutes.

I think I got him hooked on the movie too.
