Theres some good stuff around the UK at least, can't speak for other countries however. Main issue round these parts is it can be tricky finding hash; because after the soapbar epidemic then nobody wanted to buy solid, owing to the fact it can be bashed up with all kinds of shite; or indeed, any kind of shite, and people wanted something they could be sure didn't have anything unwwholesome in it. People could still incompletely cure it, leaving water content in to increase the weight. I wouldn't do a dirty sleazy prick thing like that but there are many worthless sacks of shite around who would, and as a result of a lot of low-quality or worse, soapbar resin cut up with anything from motor oil to bits of metal, it suffered in popularity, thankfully such shit also suffered in availability, I've never myself been unlucky enough to get anything of that nature, only ever had decent hash but owing to resin of any kind being harder to sell, its also been harder to buy.
Which is unfortunate
because I really quite like a nice bit of quality hash, actually I think I prefer it to skunk; because hash has a tendency to be made from high-indica type strains, although one CAN make it from any weed, sativa, indica, ruderalis hybrids, if its a good smoke to begin with it'll just get better. But strong indica hash has that lovely lazy strongly muscle-relaxing 'couch-lock' effect, its quite delightful and a lot more easygoing than strong sativas, IMO better to use also if one is going to be baking space cakes, cookies, flapjacks or anything else by way of edibles-IMO it works better as an appetite stimulant too.
Although when the bitch was rooming here, before I kicked her to the curb and told her never the fuck to darken my door again, (my ex-housemate, aka The Bitch From Hell..lol even my old man calls her The Bitch. Fucking ruined 2 years of our lives the fucking two faced thieving whorespawned perditionslut), she was asthmatic, and couldn't hit bongs, as I do, can't smoke at all actually, or even be around it, so I'd go poke my head out of the landing window, tan my bong and come back into the room. We used quite often to make baked goods, space muffins a lot of the time, cookies sometimes, out of skunk and whilst its quite different to hash based recipes they certainly do the job just as well.
