Mine's the computer. I never really felt that
way about my boardgames though. As though
they were preparing me for something valuable.

Preparing only makes sense, if there is
a reason. If not, it doesn't make one
whit of difference.

I presume that the purpose will make

Its funny how Autism is either used to describe people who want to get in on the clique of being the suffering and struggling socially awkward without actually having Autism (snowflakes) or it is used to describe laser focused researchers on chan boards and the like who are able to find gems of information or connect dots in research and find patterns in usage and the like OR as complete fucktards who behave completely socially inappropriate ways.

Of all of these, I like the research thing best and do not care for the complete fucktards thing one way or another BUT I HATE the people who want to fake having a condition they do not have to pander for consoling rubs on the head.

Doesn't matter to me.

How many of us where referred to how many different doctors and accumulated how many different diagnosis before someone actually said ?? "okay this time, this is IT."

Then how many times have some of us had a diagnosis...then the doctor left the practice...so you're referred to another... only to have them disagree with the first diagnosis and give you another diagnosis until they see you for a few months?

The fakers, self diagnosed, or the ones jumping on the train because they think it's the "in" thing will eventually move on or get a diagnosis. Maybe the ones that turn out NOT to be aspies will gain some insight on how to deal with relatives, friends, or family members who are before they finally stumble on the answers to their own questions.
