guess the recruitment drive worked..
« on: April 14, 2007, 01:53:44 PM »
Hello. I came over from AV after all the controversy the other week. I do like that site  and there are some great people on there,  but as has been discussed, it can be a bit restrictive and i fancied something else.
Thing is it has a different aim to this site so things are done differently and if anyone doesn't always enjoy that style, thanks to places like this, there are other places to go.

this seems like an entertaining place so thought i'd wander over, so here i am.

Hey.  We're really not as nasty as Robert, Ascan and Omega would have you believe, but if you throw shit around, nobody will step in to prevent the rest of us from throwing shit back at you.  I hope you enjoy your new freedom of expression and all the responsibilities and hazards that go along with it.

I'm glad to see you here, Spaghetto.  Did you see our new, improved front page?  Our Recruitment Chairman suggested a line, which we of course adopted:

'... a barely-legal, completely unethical, den of iniquity that exists mainly for the amusement of a socially-able aspergic elite' - Intensity² Recruitment Chairman

"guess the recruitment drive worked.."

Welcome to the Den of Iniquity.

Cos he's a wanker.  >:D

Heh, that was his contribution on WP to a thread invoked by Ascan, RobertN and Omega slagging Intensity off.

I spend a lot of time doing peterstuff.

The history is that Robert is and was besotted with Omega, but she was shagging Ascan and keeping it a secret from Robert, so he kept following her around the board like a horny puppy.  The rest of us thought this was rather unethical of her, since it would be better for Robert to be told the truth and get on with his life, rather than to be constantly obsessing on someone he was never going to get anywhere with, but she kept avoiding the issue, and manipulated him into thinking that we were spreading malicious rumours and that there wasn't anything between her and Ascan.

Also, Robert was generally a sickeningly horny, pathetic sap around the females on the board, and when Purposeful Insanity, Dunc's wife, suggested to Robert that his behaviour was putting people off, he got very upset and viciously attacked her over it, then Dunc called him out about it, and ever since he's referred to Dunc as Duncshit.

There was an incident too where Laz told Omega that me and HG (an ex-member here) had been making fun of a pic of hers.  There was some truth to it (she really does look like a man), but also a lot of distortion, and outright lying by Laz, since he had his own agenda.  Through that incident, it emerged that Omega was quite manipulative, and she left the board soon afterwards, taking Robert with her.  Dunc would be able to tell you more about Omega.

I don't know Ascan's story, except that he's a paranoid jerk who seems to have always had a thing against us.

I've had the "puppy" obsessive thing once with someone (IRL) and it got quite hard to deal with. Grown out of it hopefully now though

wasn't really asking for the history though, and i don't really want to get into it or start taking sides. *shrugs*

thing is i've briefly met some of the people in question, and had no beef with them, so don't really want to stir stuff up

Then don't. Nobody's forcing you to do that. Intensity's not about making fun of them, in spite of what some of them will have you believe.

Welcome, btw.

I had someone obsessed with me once, but not in a cute puppy sort of way.  It really was frightening and difficult to deal with.

I don't think anyone is asking you to take sides, but there is often more than one side of a story.  Hearing another side of a story does not force you to take sides.
