Perhaps its a male/female difference- I can get myself off easy enough, but sex is a lot more satisfying (even just on the physical level, number of orgasms, etc).

No, I don't think that there's much difference.
I just add another qualification in. I'm not sure
if sex alone is enough, without the thrill of
at least a possible love. But that possibility
might be included in such a game - I don't
know. I just know that I'm terrified of the
possibility of falling over the net.

Isn't sex enough of a thrill on its own without the promise of it developing into love?

Whatever actual story there was in the books was in the film. Had Peter Jackson tried to shoot the books as-is, I'd much prefer Yellow Pages The Movie.

Bull. The whole rebirth theme was gone.
I agreed with a lot of his choices, but
leaving out the point of the story was
a definite mistake. Not as bad as what
was done to Damnation Alley, but not
too far behind.

No. I have trouble with anything temporal. It's very hard to
justify that which will not be always.

What makes you think that love will 'always be' though?

But if they leave you, even if you continue to love them, you still can't prevent the change (of them leaving you or their feelings towards you changing you only have so much control over this kind of stuff).

I don't think that any have stopped loving me.
Yes, the temporal nature of all that exists
disturbs the fuck out of me. The fact that
they leave is awful - but I know somehow that
they'll be around for my revenge. Sometimes,
I can even meet with them, after they've died.

What makes you so sure they haven't stopped loving you though?

What makes anyone sure of anything?
I'm not absolutely sure, but I can't
imagine that it'd be any other way.

What makes you so sure they haven't stopped loving you though?
maybe they are just loving someone else more.
Misunderstood.

I kinda get the feeling though that Calandale is the kind of person that you either love all-consumingly or hate all consumingly- I just can't imagine an in-between state (at least where that kind of relationship comes in).

Perhaps. I doubt it though.

What else do I have?

Both can occur at once.

so people that do love him, love him long time?

Time is meaningless. Love is eternal.

just like a vietnamese prostitute.

More like an old dog in pain.

I define it that way.

Why don't you define sex as always being there?
You'll never self-actualize the subconscious canopy of stardust with that attitude.
