Do you have any suppressant/expectorant cough syrup, like Robitussin DM? It quiets the cough somewhat,
while loosening the phlegm so that when you do cough, you actually clear your lungs out a bit. I love it!   :2thumbsup:

I often give Prince Albert piping hot lemonade since the heat breaks up the congestion and soothes the chest and the synepherine in the lemon decongests.  It does take some adjusting to hot lemonade, but it's useful when you need to avoid side effects with other medicines.  You can also take a pain pill to calm the coughing, which I did once for PA.  I mentioned it later on to the Doc and he said that sometimes they do prescribe pain pills for extreme coughing. 

I have heard of cough syrup with codeine in it, but I had an unpleasant experience with codeine the one time I took it!   :orly:

I hallucinated with codeine until I took enough of a low dosage over time to accustom myself to it.  Now it's not bad if I have to take it.

It gave me a weird sort of buzz. The day after my wisdom teeth were removed, I was at the table having lunch,
codeine in my system, and suddenly everything seemed to be happening faster.  I stopped taking it right then.  :zombiefuck:

Half headache again - only got one or two hours sleep before I had to get up. had some potatos though


I used to take codeine for my migraines. sometimes it worked, sometimes now. I had some for my last ear infection as well before I got antibiotics. that was a fucking godsend
