Poor baby.  How did she break it and how long will she have to be in a cast?

She broke it wiping out on her bicycle. Doc says four to six weeks in a cast.

 :'(

(She is now nicknamed, "Crash,"  just for fun)

She came into the house wailing and all she could say was, "Daddy, I think I broke my arm!  I'm so scared!"

It took me a few minutes to calm her enough to even examine it, but my assessment was the same as hers (she has never been hurt in any way before, so the idea of having pain was very knew to her) and I got her ready for an emergency room trip as quickly as I could. It was swelling and very HOT, so I knew ice would be wise and I used the belt from my bathrobe as a sling, got her favorite stuffed toy to hold, favorite loud music for the car ride, and away we went.

I think ice was a good idea too.  I remember when I broke my little finger, it felt better with ice on it and it throbbed and hurt a lot whenever I took the ice off or it all melted, so I wound up asking for more ice when I got to urgent care.  What color cast did she choose?

She chose a purple cast.

Please mention the headaches to your doctor. You may not need to suffer like this.  :(

Your problems are his business. That's his job. Listen to the old lady, call about the headaches...  :prude:

Thanks. Very cute Soph.

Sorry...didn't mean to say 'replacement' cat in the sense of the word...maybe 'recovery' kitten!

More electrical Jaguar weirdness.  >:(

Thankfully the dealer will have to fix the bloody thing but it's annoying.

Good luck. Electrical problems suck. :P

Dealing with a fucked-up abs system here. :bangbang: Took it to the garage so they can do some diagnostics on it and get the codes. If they come back telling me what I already half suspect I might choose to just disable the mess and revert to the regular braking system, found out it can be easily done on this year/model.

Sucks to have problems with the brakes, too. Are you sure you won't get into more problems by disabling ABS?

Elected to have it fixed since it was only a bad speed sensor. 94 Chevy S10, ABS is only on a single circuit, disabling would just disable the ABS, you retain the regular braking function. You can just pull the fuse to disable. Comforting since the control module runs about $700+  and is notorious for failure.

my mum brought her home last night. she will never replace Flo obviously, but i think it's making it easier for me to deal with not having  Flo around.

Sorry to hear about your daughter's wreck.  :( She sounds like she handled it very bravely though.

Neighbor girl broke her ankle this summer on her bike, my son nicknamed her "crash" as well for awhile, made her laugh.

Hardest thing for her has been getting "back on the horse" again so to speak, she's ridden her bike a little but the fear is still lingering and probably will for awhile I'm sure.

It has been a really rough two days. My daughter still can not eat since she broke her arm.  (she throws everything up)

I am not sure how to help "fix" this part of her pain.

Does she manage to drink at least something DD?
