My dog took a shit on the rug in the sitting room last night.
Hope it cleans up easily. 
It won't. It's a thick, shaggy woollen rug, and the shit's soaked right into it.

I think she just really needed to shit. I walked her twice yesterday and she'd pooped on the walks, but mum was away for the past couple of days, so she was a bit unsettled and out of her usual routine. She woke me up at 05:30 this morning and was agitated and excited, so I got up and let her out thinking she'd seen a fox from the window, then went to bed again when she came back in. I discovered the poop on the rug when I got up again later on, and I think she probably did it before she managed to wake me at 05:30; I sleep quite deeply, and don't tend to wake up easily. She'd eaten most of it, and mooshed it into the rug in the process, but I took it outside and was able to clean it fairly well with washing up liquid and the garden hose.
