Too bad you can't work at night...or can you?

Not very often unless I get come commercial work that has to be done after hours.  Worked in a bar once got there at 3am and had to be done and out before 10am

I managed to drift off without too much difficulty and get a reasonable quality of sleep last night after taking 6mg of melatonin.  I've only had limited success with 1mg and 3mg doses lately; they've left me feeling chilled out and somnolent, but unable to reach anything more than a very shallow sleep.

I've been wondering if I could make a time-release system for melatonin, since I often feel it wearing off after a few hours of trying to get to sleep, and the time-release pills are much more expensive than the instant-release ones.  I saw a bottle of 60 x 10mg melatonin pills on sale for £5.99, and maybe if I emptied out the contents, mixed it with some honey, injected the mixture into jumbo rasins and swallowed them whole, it would slowly leach out and be absorbed into my blood stream over the course of the night.
