It is not specified whether it has a smooth or bumpy scroll wheel. Some people don't mind which they have, though. I had to try mouses until I found one with a smooth scroll wheel.

The Logitech I have has a multifunction wheel and you can switch between smooth and "bumpy."

The two positions serve a different purpose, too.

I use a logitech optical mouse, and I've always been happy with it.  It's a massive improvement over a roller mouse.
