I have come across a box set of CDs from a "minor composer"  named, Eric Serra  (HE IS A MASTER!!). I grabbed it, because I saw something mentioning one of my favorite movies "The Fifth Element."

When I finally opened it - I have had it for about two months and never had a chance to open it. I buy a lot of things upon impulse - I found that it contained the entire soundtrack of "The Fifth Element,"  not only the operatic studies, some of which made the movie, but the end credit song,  "Little Light of Love"  which I truly love.

I just put it on my phone so I can play it any time I want.

Also get hold of the soundtrack for The Big Blue.

Thanks.

Good suggestion, but this box set includes many where Besson and Serra had collaborated, including "The Big Blue."

This collection is promoted as a "definitive"  study of Serra's work.  I love it.

I remember cassette tapes. CDs are great, but I liked being able to rewind to the good  part of a song!   :headbang:

Why can your CD player not do that for you?

I think if you explore some, you will find that most half decent CD players have enough chipshit inside them to "save a beginning and and end" of a track in memory and replay just that section you have chosen, nearly indefinitely.

Look at your remote. You probably have a "repeat A>B function"  or something like that  and another control that allows you to set "A"  and then set "B"  at any place in a track that you want and replay just the section of the track you have set, almost forever.

Sometimes the repeat function is combined into one single button, however. You must then choose whether you want to repeat a full track and entire CD or just on part. Continuing to press the repeat button may open up a new world for you.

Mac the Knife or Mackie Messer, as it is originally in German. The German version is (of course) more brutal.  :viking:

I did a couple of hundred more pages, in the past few days.

Nothing in that span, but my hopes are still up.

I am going to bed now and playing Pat Metheny and Brad Meldhua, live in a downtown Indy club, several years ago.

It was downloaded from the free Internet Archive site. I fixed it a bit and it sounds very live!
