Obviously, some of the recordings are less than stellar, but if you love the music, it affords another look into the living performances of these musicians. Often FLAC files are avalable, too. I have found well recorded performances more often than not.

I have difficulty downloading, these days, but I rarely turn off my machine. I am almost constantly downloading something from here (as opposed to YouTube or some crap like so many others).

The other (related/duplicate, but more inclusive) archive I frequent, which does not require a BT client, I know I have posted before, but here it is again:

http://www.archive.org/index.php

There are also half a million text based archives and book scans to browse, if you are interested.

It's very popular and in need of an upgrade to support increased bandwidth, but when you find something cool ... YES!

Did I mention it's all free, which is right where we want to be.

So, if you find something "not free"  or with an unexpired copyright, it won't be there long.

A friend's new psytrance team, Freeform Human. They have a free introductory track available on their website: http://www.freeformhuman.com/

Cool.

I've been on The Beatles all afternoon. My daughter has been home from school all week, sick at first. Now, she is (FEELING BETTER!!!) wanting her music.

I am playing Hero Dad and giving her a truly life changing experience with hot-rod sounding Beatles from a stereo that she can feel (starting in the two thousand Hertz range and going down to the subsoil in response) in her bones.

Oh, she's agreed to tolerate some jazz after this degree of attending.
