The Kinks - Well Respected Man

Getting later here, I should go to sleep soon. Work in the morning.

OMFG!

I thought I was the only one who still played the Kinks.

I have the complete studio, television and several live appearances. I have always loved the Kinks. They are part of the music of my youth.

Every so often, I have to re-set myself. Playing music from my childhood, like the Beatles, the Kinks, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Eric Burden and the Animals, the Safaris, Jefferson Airplane, the Doors, and the Moody Blues always brings me back.

I dread the day it all stops working.

Some Steppenwolf for now. I have it all.

Star Trek II soundtrack. Average movie, excellent soundtrack.

I've been shuffling through a sixties jazz playlist outside, today. It sounds like a beatnik convention out there for this Earth Day.

I'm still amazed at how well that stupid little cheap Logitech music bridge works. It sounds digi as fuck, but hell, it is!
It works great for background music applications.

When I want to sit down in the sweet spot and appreciate how well I have coupled the sound system with the surrounding environment (a very demanding high fidelity application), I will still use a cable.

It's just "my thing,"  which I have always done. It allows me great pleasure at times, but it also represents a kind of stability to me. I literally have some music playing almost all the time, no matter what else I happen to be doing. It's been a little rough, musically, at work lately.
Lots of "country" releases have been previewed, recently. I leave there feeling like Oz's Wicked Witch after she had water poured on her.

"I'm MELTING!!"

The collection aspect is one of my obsessive pursuits. That's why I end up with so many "complete" collections of my favorite musicians. I still have albums I bought when I was eight. That's a forty four year hobby and it takes up a lot of space. :D

I've also been ripping and sharing music with acquaintances for over twelve years. I often wish that I had personally ripped every note in my music collection, using MY current method and standards, but I am glad to have the mp3s that I have obtained from other sources, also. I'm a snob, but not to the point of refusing to listen to interesting music because of inadequacies in the delivery media.

I love my music. Not sure I'm comfortable with people thinking of me though. :-\

Some Charlie Hunter going right now. It's electric jazz.

And there are those who
Hadn't found the speaking so wrong
Is it wrong
Of Pavlov lore
They ran rampant through the floors
Is this wrong
Feels so wrong
Happened on a respirator
In the basement
Are they gone are they gone
Stung the slang of a gallows bird
Rationed a dead letter pure

Track-marked amoeba lands craft
Cartwheel of scratches
Dress the tapeworm as pet
Tentacles smirk please
Flinched the cocooned meat
Infra-recon forgets

Now there are those who find
Comfort in the breathing
Wrong-is it wrong
It houses the watchful eyes
They're panting in a
pattern in droves
Are they gone
Happened on a respirator BET
In the basements
Is it gone
Are they gone
Stung the slang of a gallows bird
Sanctioned a dead letter pure

Track-marked amoeba lands craft
Cartwheel of scratches
Dress the tape worm as pets
Tentacles smirk please
Flinch the cocooned meat
Infra-recon forgets

Evaporated the fur
Because it covers them
If you only knew the
Plans they had for us
Evaporated the fur
Because it covers them
If you only knew the
Plans they had for us

They used to have pulses in them
But impulse has made them strong
They used to have pulses in them
But impulse has made them strong

Evaporated the fur
Because it covers them
If you only knew the
Plans they had for us

Track-marked amoeba lands craft
Cartwheel of scratches
Dress the tapeworm as pets
Tentacles smirk please
Flinch the cocooned meat
Infra-recon forgets
Gotta be a way
Of getting out
Are you just growingaft
Cartwheel of scratches
Dress the tapeworm as pets
