I hear you. I'm very bothered about phase, too, but I don't think I know enough about tonearm/pickup/etc alignment to choose, yet.

Difficult to get it around here, though, and probably too expensive for me. :-\

Radio 3's "Late Junction" programme from last tuesday - eclectic mix of music, always something brilliant in it.

i'm threatened with swedish prog rock in this one, but the O Man assures me he's really fab, so i'm less horrified than i might be.

edit: listening to alleged swedish prog rock = Bjorn Johansson Lindh.  is good.
