Have I ever mentioned that you can download most of the Demilich for free, if you like wicked death metal?

I recommend the FLAC format.

I'm used to mp3 now to the point where I don't notice the loss of quality unless its a low bitrate file. my hearing is fucked up anyway.  :laugh:

too many gigs when I was younger and working in noisy environments. I have some hearing loss in my left ear, and tinnitus.

It definitely sucks. I have lost a bit of hearing as well, but I still can't take lossy digi sound.

I use it mainly for sampling new stuff, but if I get to actively listen to music, I can't stand it, not even high bitrates.

amarok is great. some prefer xmms or others but all around, amarok is awesome. it's about the stuff below the hood, anyway, and if you have the right stuff, flac's going to sound great.
