Wooyay... :woohoo:

Of course, your mixes, too.

I haven't got them burned, yet, but the weekend is coming.

One of these days I want to explore what you mean when you say "mix", because it probably means something else to me. I listened, some, and I hear a "mixture", or a woven together medley, but I want to know what manipulations you do and what software you use, etc.

Have you tried any of Fluff's compressin plugins? I'm not sure if they are available or finished, but he has my attention, too.

One of the things I do when I assmemble a mixture is to tailor the frequency response to the playback media or "master" them. Do you do some mastering?

I have some of Fluff's plugins, but I haven't had chance to try them out yet. I don't do a great deal with the mixes, other than pick out what to put in it, in what order and then use Audacity to fiddle with the levels, cross-fading tracks into each other etc, so that the volume is fairly uniform and tracks are woven together like a DJ set, rather than having remixed the tracks themselves. Hope thats clearer. I am working on some of my own tracks, but with my attention span I'm not exactly getting on with it. ;)

My buddy came by last night and gave me the hard drive I had used. He said he needed a bigger one anyway. I wasn't expecting any compensation for the work I did for him. I was just helping out, but he fixed me up. I felt like the chance to acquire music quickly, with his superfast connection, was pay enough. Nice guy!

Jazz, this morning, since my son awoke about four AM and wanted to party!

Ooooooh. The phone rang and I get to go play audio god.

I was thinking that I was odd man out, but I get a chance, after all, to do my magic with no equipment chores, this time. Bitches will line up.

I know Fleck, but I haven't heard his work with Corea. I want to meet McCoy Tyner!

I know the best bitches will be at the Al Green tent, but I won't be.
