My best cables are MIT. I haven't tried Mogamis.

If you plan on using MDF, why would you neeed to make a butcher block? Does the MDF, you have access to, have a grain structure? I don't quite understand.

If there is no grain, you should be fine with an alephetic resin and increased mass to keep the individual panel resonant frequencies as low as practical. The only problem I have ever had with MDF is rigidity, when used for a low frequency enclosure.

MODDED:
The highly regarded NCMS Soft Glue (available through North Creek Music Systems), I have not tried. It is considered by many to be this best speaker enclosure glue around.

Thanks for the info on the glue. The reason why I would use Butcherblock construction would be to further increase the mass of the enclosure.

Currently at 30 minutes into Dunc's mix. Not a bad mix at all. It would be a bit nicer though if there was a playlist as well, that way I could get info on artists that I'm unfamiliar with.

Haven't been neglecting my music, though.

 Some Zep, today.
Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

Boris Stuff that I currently have,(aside from the Cd previously Mentioned) is a few songs off of Akuma No Uta, a song that was a collaboration with guitarist Michio Kurihara, plus these further works/collaborations,

Boris - Pink

Sunn 0))) & Boris - Altar

Boris & Merzbow - Sun Baked Snow Cave

All of the full versions were CD's that I bought, because finding Full Boris releases on the Download can be a tough proposition.

It's jazz, today.
Kenny Burrell, a true guitar wizard and one of Hendrix's influences. I have all of his studio releases, but only a smatterring of his session work. You couldn't call it metal, unless you include liquid metal.
