Seriously? Regardless of what's true, how can anyone possibly vote no to getting witnesses on the stand? What kind of trial is one that doesn't allow witnesses to testify? Surely if the orange moron had proof that he was innocent he wouldn't block everything?

The really scary new defence is that it's OK if you actually did what they accuse you of doing if you were trying to get re-elected, because then it's obviously going to be in the national interest.
