Brexit is causing poorer children to fall further behind in learning foreign languages, says the British Council.


Parents in disadvantaged areas are telling teachers languages will be less useful after Brexit, it says.


It warns that GCSEs and A-level languages in England are seen as being hard subjects in which to get a good grade.

Why do we need to know Polish these days? In the past it was needed because Poles came to work. Many have gone home. Most of the languages are of little use unless you live there. The South Asian languages and Arabic are useful for dealing with terror but learning German as in the article is pointless. Germans would wonder why, specially as the young and many middle aged speak English anyway.

Other point is: we're becoming ourselves. We don't need European languages. Google Translate is good enough for ordering stuff from France or Germany.

My point is that a tourist knowing Swedish would be of considerable interest to an autistic Swedish gal, particularly if they knew other languages and had charisma. They're fucking your women, remember? You should be shagging them, not them.

Also, talk to some of the Swedish women who've had trouble with dodgy Arab immigrants. It's not as bad here. We make the shops in Muslim areas write their signs in English, not Urdu.

I don't expect the SD to be the Government, I want them to realise that Sweden isn't timid. Things are changing there and it's largely due to them.

They are like any populist party in Europe. They survive and thrive by tapping into people's fears, not by any sort of sustainable politics. Basically they are bigoted thugs, much like their counterparts in the 1930s Germany.

Someone wise pointed out that it takes about one and a half generation for humanity to forget, and I couldn't agree more.

The people who vote for these parties are very aware of Thirties Germany. We're friends with Europe, indeed the whole world. Your problem is denying the truth. If it was you, Sweden would have a 20% Muslim population before you said "enough". From there, they'd really hurt your country. All the SD are saying is that they're Swedes. There is nothing racist about saying that in Sweden, as long as real intolerance isn't implied.
