CCP hired the Underpants Gnomes to help them come up with a plan for making money, after watching old South Park episodes in an attempt to understand decadent Western society.

The Underpants Gnomes put together a presentation as follows:

1. Make killer virus, "accidentally" release killer virus.
2. Hundreds of thousands die in countries which are your major trading partners. Their economies tank and they can't buy your crap any more
3. Profit $$$

The CCP stood and applauded for 25 minutes.

I just read that the virus might have been around for months before anyone knew about it. Not sure if that info should go here or in a "what I'm thinking about" thread.

Couple weeks ago read similar suggested about the US, hypothesized because there are no hot spots related to large cities in California and the state had a bad flu outbreak in November around Thanksgiving. The oldest swears her household also had it around that time; respiratory illness that took weeks to fully recover.

Weird to think significant groups of people were getting sick without all the panicking that surrounds it now. Society could have just kept going with their heads in the sand. Hiw long would it have taken to notice people were dying?
