Nothing right now, but I just watched a movie called Ten Inch Hero with Jensen Ackles (Dean on Supernatural) in it. Perhaps while Supernatural is on a three week hiatus I should watch Jensen and Jared's (Sam on Supernatural) movies.

Fat Albert ...

Kids love it.

Ya know, I generally object rather strongly to most RAP music, but the sub-genre of hip-hop used in this movie is something to dig on (Old School!) for me.
It is not far removed from the older (and more acceptable across the generations) R&B genre. I dig the music!

About to go watch the remainder of Season 5 of Babylon5 with my son because it's the school holidays and he isn't bogged down with homework.  :)

(Sorry AE, I don't know why i quoted your message.)

I am having trouble with "Battlestar Galactica."   I think I mentiond that I had not yet seen it.

My son loves it and has already become obsessed, much like when I bought the entire "Babylon 5" series, about this time last year. The problem is that this one has some rather graphic sex scenes and he is not quite ready for this.

I am going to have to set it aside for a while and he is going to be pissed off at me.

Last night, though, when I went back into work to buy four new subwoofers for my deck sound system, I bought also the entire "Blue Planet"  series. I am hoping to distract him long enough to get over "Battlestar ..." for a while.

For a ten year old, seeing a hot, blond, extremely sexual Cylon effectively raping her male partner, while her backbone turns red hot is a bit much. (even though all we see is her naked back and all we hear is the deep, DEEP breathing)

I don't think of it as graphically explicit, as in porn, but for a maturing, (immediately pre-pubescent) virgin male with social difficulties, approaching "The Sex Conversation"  with his dad ...  it is a bit much.

I just realised that it isn't the 70's series you are talking about.

... but, yeah, BG has more boffing in it than any other Sci-Fi series that I have seen. Nothing explicit, but the point is made well on many occasions.

These people fuck!

I just realised that it isn't the 70's series you are talking about.

Sorry, I mentioned finding it at my favorite store while you were otherwise involved.

I found the complete series at Half Priced Books. It was a sort of concession I received from my wife, after so much fucking furniture shopping. Did I mention I have had to suffer an entirely new living room set-up?

:yikes:

(I spent WAY too much money that day. It was a great visit, because I walked out with over a hundred titles - DVD, CD and LP, combined.)

Plus trying not to give away any plot details, but there is also confronting rape scene too later on in the series. I'm just glad I have plenty of other scifi series on DVD to watch with my kids.
