Black and white alligator people movie.  :'(
George:I'd say I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not. I excel at not giving a shit. Experience has taught me that interest begets expectation, and expectation beget disappointment, so the key to avoiding disappointment is to avoid interest. A equals B equals C Equals A, or whatever. I also don't have a lot of interest in being a good person or a bad person. From what I can tell, either way, you're screwed. Bad people are punished by society's laws, and good people are punished by Murphy's Law

Benny & Joon, as always.
How many times have you watched that film?

Too many times. I stopped counting four years ago. I'd say 500 times. My boyfriend used to tease me about it because he say "This is your 1 millionth oneth time," and the number go up everytime he see me watching it.

I'm watching it again. Fergusons. Sam is juggling the food.
Doesnt it get boring watching it that many times?

I watched it yesterday.  I have a friend who adores Johnny Depp and was determined to show us his gorgeousness in the film.  Before the film started, she turned to me and said,  "Don't be offended, but Joon reminds me of you."  (I believe the similarities were numerous but included some physical features, touchaphobia which I had at the time I met her (though that girl seemed fine with Depp being all over her), and being "smart and full off herself."

OK, fine, I saw some similarities, but I was only able to predict one line, which I do every so often, and usually don't mean to- I'll throw out what I think should be in the dialogue but what I don't expect to be.  I believe the lead-in that I responded to was (and I am sure I will be corrected on the exact wording):

"How long have you known this man?"

The man in question was being treated as if he was someone the person being questioned had known for a good deal of time, and I fully expected the person being quetsioned to respond with a reasonable-sounding lie.  So, I ad-libbed what I thought would be stupid, but funny:

"Seventy-two hours."

I turned out to be right- and I've done it with other movies too, though fucked if I can remember which ones and which lines.
it is well known that PMS Elle is evil.
I think you'd fit in a 12" or at least a 16" firework mortar
You win this thread because that's most unsettling to even think about.

SG wouldn't it be good if you really knew what the number was?

I often think that about movies I love.

I think about Benny & Joon all the time, Mozart and the Whale and Vision Quest. All Spokane. I'm going back tomorrow.

Before that, I have thought about A League of Their Own, 101 Dalmatians, Jurassic Park, and Home Alone. Movies I loved. Oh and GoldenEye Too. Those were my other movie obsessions and Titanic too but my mother only let me watch it once a month so I never got to memorize lines from it. Now I never watch it. I saw it five times in theaters though. I hadn't watched it since I was 15. My old aspie mate wanted to watch it so we did.

I went with The Fifth Element.
Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

Foyle's War

I love this silly series!
