Your new time lapse vids are very good was the camera expensive?
It was about £42 from Amazon.co.uk, and I got free P&P on it too, but I think I got it unusually cheap. The RRP is £69 and most places are selling it for about £50. You could achieve the same quality with most decent webcams, I suspect. I start by taking still images with
Dorgem at 640*480, using a laptop that's always on, then I transfer them to my main machine for processing where I rename them as a numerical sequence using
Rename Master before importing them into Sony Vegas Movie Studio, where I set the frame rate and trim it so that it's under 5 minutes long, render it as a Quicktime .mov file and upload to Photobucket, where it gets recompressed into an .flv. By the time the data's been through all that, I don't think it matters much that my camera can take a 2MP picture.
