According to the map, I live in the coldest part of the country now. -2.2ºC. Still no proper winter temperature, but, it's a beginning. I'm so hoping for more frost, and a nice layer of snow.

t is grey and dry though.

It's been a really mild winter so far.  Also, it's nice that the days are getting noticeably longer now; sunrise to sunset is 08:18 to 16:43 (day-length of 8h 24m 56s) for today.  It ranges from 08:46 to 15:45 (day-length of 6h 58m 40s) on the 21st of December to 04:31 to 22:06 (day-length of 17h 35m 13s) on the 21st of June.

Temperature is minus 1°C at the moment and it's snowing a little bit at my whereabouts. Suppose to go to -10°C  in the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

Condolences Lutra.  It's going to be in the 70's all this week here.  Even for New Orleans that's warm for winter.  I wonder how that's going to affect the temperature of the Gulf of Mexico and any hurricanes that enter it this summer.
