Have seen some that look nice, and others not so great. It's hard to predict how consistently the body will scar.

Brandings give a similar effect.

Have a friend with issues who got back into it when she hit a really rough patch.  Whipped out a razor in front of me one day and started going at her arm to "freshen" the scar (she wasn't doing herself much harm, but she was drawing blood, for sure).  I really felt like she might be trying to get a reaction, which, fuck that shit; you're a grown-up, use your damn words.  And I was doing plenty for her already.  Anyway, I just kinda looked at her and dryly asked when the last time we had boundaries was.

Scarification is an even finer line than tattoos between art and NSSI.  Which is a whole nother topic or two I could rant about for awhile but won't.

You win this thread because that's most unsettling to even think about.

Ouch.
To me it looks like you're saying that banning bombs didn't stop bombs going off therefore there is no point to gun control because it's a mental health issue.

Is that common? It must be hard to have friendships if they make your professional services part of the relationship.

Have done small scarification but nothing on that scale. I enjoyed it.

Not into the doctor fetish theme that seems to have gone along with the first pic.

On a closer look, the arm-picture is a photoshop. The photos are identical, and the second seems to have been added some kind of old fashioned "emboss"-effect. I suspect it is probably meant as a projection for the customer, to see what it might look like when finished.

Yeah i noticed that, but assumed same.  I saw some program about a shop in Brighton that does it.  It was gross.  The guy was in agony despite having some kind of topical anaesthetic.

I wouldn't do it.  I am a whimp.  I do like some of the less extreme designs though.
